Striker Replacement - Rear Door Upper Coupe (1st Design)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the retractor cover by pulling at the clip locations.
2. Mark the outside position of the striker with a soft marker.




3. Remove the striker fasteners and remove the striker and spacers if present.

Installation Procedure

1. Apply Loctite 242® threadlocker, or equivalent, to the striker fasteners.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the spacers if present and install the striker.
Tighten

Tighten the rear door upper striker-to-body bolts (Coupe) to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).

3. Verify the striker alignment.




4. Install the retractor cover by aligning and seating the retaining clips.
