Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Outer Sedan/Wagon

Removal Procedure

1. Remove retaining screw from sealing strip end cap.
2. Remove mirror trim panel and remove foam filler, then loosen mirror.
3. Carefully lift up on outer sealing strip starting at rear and working forward.

Installation Procedure

1. Install by sliding forward end of sealing strip beneath mirror.
2. Align rear sealing strip end cap retainer with hole for end cap retaining screw.
3. Starting at rear of seal strip push sealing strip down onto flange until fully seated.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Tighten mirror attaching nuts.
Tighten

Tighten the outside rear view mirror nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

5. Install foam filler and mirror trim panel.
6. Tighten sealing strip retaining screw.
Tighten

Tighten the outer sealing strip - belt seal (Sedan/Wagon) to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
