Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
2. On the driver's seat, rotate the seat riser knob to full up position.




3. Remove the recliner handle.
4. On the driver's side, remove the seat riser knob cover and the fastener.
5. Remove the seat adjuster side covers.
6. On the driver's side, install the riser knob without the screw. Lower the cushion.




7. Disengage the J-strip.
8. On the driver's side, raise the cushion and remove the riser knob.

5. Seat Cover J-Strip (5)




9. Remove the bolts at the sides of the seat cushion and remove the seat cushion.




10. Disengage the remaining seat cover J-strips.
11. Remove the seat cushion frame.




12. Pull up to expose the hog rings in the foam pad. Remove the hog rings, and remove the cover.
• Hog Rings to center listing wire. (1)
• Hog Rings to horizontal listing wire. (2)

Installation Procedure

Important

LHD shown; RHD similar.

1. Transfer the listing wires to the new cover.
2. Place seat cover over pad.
3. Install hog rings (1) around the center listing wire in the seat cover to the center listing wire in the seat cushion foam.
4. Install 2 hog (2) rings around each horizontal listing wire in the seat cover to the horizontal listing wire in the seat cushion foam.
5. Pull the seat cover seat pad.




6. Check the fit of the cover and pull on the cover where necessary to remove wrinkles.
7. Install the seat cushion with cover to the seat cushion frame.
8. Install the J-strips to the seat cushion frame.




9. Install the seat cushion assembly to the seat adjusters.
Tighten

Tighten the seat adjusters to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

10. On the driver's side, install the riser knob without the screw, lower the seat cushion and remove the riser knob.




11. Wrap the seat cushion cover rear flap to the cover up recliner cross the tube and engage the seat cushion cover rear J-strip to the seat cushion frame.

12. Install the seat adjuster side covers.
13. Install the recliner handle.
14. On the driver's side, install the seat riser knobs.
15. Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
