Roof Rear Outer Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the roof side outer front panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Frame Panel Replacement .
2. Remove 4 retaining screws from the roof rear outer panel.
3. Slide the rear of the roof rear outer panel out to remove from the rear quarter panel.

Installation Procedure

Important

If replacing the roof side outer panel, masking of the panel foam sealing tape is critical. Ensure that none of the tape is painted on. This will ensure that the water management system works correctly.

1. Install the rear of the roof rear outer panel into the rear quarter panel. Insert the tab on the roof rear outer panel into the bodyside plug.
2. Rotate the panel down until the rear of the panel makes contact with the quarter panel.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the retaining screws (1, 2, 3 , 4) and tighten in the sequence shown.
Tighten

Tighten the roof rear outer panel fasteners to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

Notice

Use caution when installing retaining screws. Do not damage door primary seal.

4. Install the roof side outer front panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Frame Panel Replacement .
