Impact Bar Replacement - Rear Bumper Sedan/Wagon

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Impact Bar Replacement - Rear Bumper .
2. Remove the lower attaching bolts from the outside.
3. Remove the upper attaching nuts from inside the rear compartments.
4. Remove the impact bar.

Installation Procedure

Important

If reusing the bumper impact bar after a rear-end collision, inspect bar for damage. If the bar is not torn or cracked and retains its shape, it can be reused.

1. Position the impact bar to rear end structure.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the attaching nuts and bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

3. Install the fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper .
