Service Information on New Torque Specification for the Steering Wheel Nut

1997- 1999 Saturn vehicles

Purpose

This bulletin provides technical information on changes tot he torque specification for the steering wheel nut. The specification provided below should supercede the specification available in prior versions of the Saturn Body Repair service manuals and quick reference guides.

Important

The steering wheel nut must be replaced any time the steering wheel is removed and re-installed.

The new torque for the steering wheel nut is :

Tighten

Torque: 35 N·m (26 lb ft)
