Brake Pedal Pivot Bushing Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR System. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the brake pedal. Refer to Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement .

Important

Use a 3/8 in socket extension and hammer to drive out pivot spacer tube.

3. Remove the pivot spacer tube from the pedal hub.

Important

Use a thin screwdriver and gently pry out the bushings.

4. Remove the bushings from the pedal hub.

Installation Procedure

1. By hand, push the pivot bushings into the pedal hub.
2. Lubricate the inside diameter of the bushings.
3. Install the pivot spacer tube into the pivot bushings.
4. Install the brake pedal. Refer to Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement .
5. Enable the SIR System. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
