Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Disconnect the IAT sensor harness connector.

Important

The connector must be removed by squeezing the sides. Apply pressure to sides of the connector gently with pliers. Do not pull on wires.

3. Remove the IAT sensor using a deep-well socket.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the IAT sensor.
Tighten

Tighten the intake air temperature sensor to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

2. Connect the IAT sensor harness connector. Push in the connector until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
