Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Open the lid and pull back the left side carpet.
2. Disconnect the rear compartment lid wiring harness from the body harness at the blue connector on the wheelhouse.
3. Remove the rear compartment lid to the hinge attachment bolts.
4. With aid of an assistant, remove the rear compartment lid.
5. If replacing the rear compartment lid, remove the lock cylinder, the lock, the center panel, and the wiring harness.

Installation Procedure

1. With aid of an assistant, align the rear compartment lid to the hinges.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the rear compartment lid to the hinge attachment bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the compartment deck lid-to-hinge arm bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

3. Inspect the rear compartment alignment and align as necessary.
4. Route and reconnect the rear compartment wiring harness to the body harness.
