Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the antenna lead from the antenna base mating socket located by the passenger's feet area.
2. Use a wrench to loosen the antenna mast.
3. Remove the antenna mast.
4. Remove the right fender. Refer to Fender Replacement - Front in Body Front End.




5. Remove the fasteners from the antenna bracket assembly.
6. Remove the antenna bracket assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the antenna bracket assembly to vehicle.
2. Route the antenna connector through the spaceframe opening and install the coax grommet to body opening.
3. Route the antenna base/cable to the antenna lead and connect the antenna lead to the antenna base mating socket.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the fasteners to secure the antenna bracket assembly to the vehicle.
Tighten

Tighten the antenna bracket-to-fender fasteners to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

5. Install and tighten the antenna mast to the antenna base.
6. Tighten the antenna mast down with a wrench.
Tighten

Tighten the antenna mast-to-antenna base to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

7. Install the right fender. Refer to Fender Replacement - Front in Body Front End.
