Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid With Remote Keyless Entry

Removal Procedure

Caution

Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
2. Open the lid.
3. Remove the 2 bolts holding the lid latch to the lid.
4. Disconnect the lock cylinder rod and the wiring clip.

Installation Procedure

1. Connect the lock cylinder rod and the wiring clip.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Position the lid latch to the compartment lid and install the lid latch with the 2 bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the rear compartment lid latch bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

3. Close the lid.
4. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.
