Park Lock Solenoid Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disable SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in the SIR section.
2. Remove console. Refer to Console Replacement in the Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
3. Disconnect BTSI solenoid harness connector.
4. Using a screw driver, disconnect plastic retainers at solenoid base and at the park lock lever.
5. Remove solenoid from shifter assembly.

Installation Procedure

1. Install solenoid into shifter assembly. Connect plastic retainer at solenoid base and at the park lock lever.
2. Connect BTSI solenoid harness connector.
3. Verify operation. Refer to Park Lock System Check .
4. Install console. Refer to Console Replacement in the Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
5. Enable the SIR System. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in the SIR section.
