91-02 ZB Saturn No Fluid Pressure after Transaxle Reassembled

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Condition/Concern:

Technician complains of no transaxle fluid pressure after transaxle is reassembled (converter housing and main case were separated). Fluid MAY spray from transaxle dipstick tube with dipstick removed and engine running.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Replace damaged or missing pump-to-case O-ring seal located between the converter housing and main case near transaxle dipstick tube.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
