Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the screws and unsnap the windshield defroster duct from the mode valve assembly. Lift up on the defroster duct and move it to the right. This will allow access to the resistor assembly.




3. Disconnect the blower motor resistor connector.




4. Remove the screws and the blower motor resistor.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the blower motor resistor and screws.




2. Connect the blower motor resistor connector.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.





3. Move the defroster duct to the left. Install the windshield defroster duct onto the mode valve assembly and install the screws.
Tighten

Tighten the windshield defroster nozzle to 2.2 N·m (20 lb in).

4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
