Hinge Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure

1. Place a prop under the rear compartment lid that will safely support the lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid torque rods. Refer to Torque Rod Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid .
3. Remove the hinge bolts.




4. Remove the rear window trim finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Upper Rear Trim in Interior Trim.




5. Remove the hinge to body nuts.
6. Remove the hinge.

Installation Procedure

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.





1. Install the hinge and fasten to the body with the nuts.
Tighten

Tighten the rear compartment hinge to body nuts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

2. Slide the hinge arm into the rear compartment lid
3. Install the rear compartment to the hinge bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the rear compartment lid to hinge bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

4. Install the rear compartment lid torque rods. Refer to Torque Rod Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid .




5. Install the compartment lid.
6. Align the rear compartment lid. Refer to Compartment Lid Adjustment - Rear .




7. Install the rear window trim finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Upper Rear Trim in Interior Trim.
