Input Shaft Disassemble

Important

The Synchronizer hub and sleeve must be kept together as matched set. Note spline alignment marks on hub and sleeve, indicated by the arrows.

1. Use the press to disassemble the input shaft. Place support under the 3rd drive gear.




2. Remove the 5th gear bearing, inner-race, and thrust washer.
3. Remove the input shaft bearing.
4. Remove the 4th drive gear thrust washer.
5. Remove the 4th drive gear.
6. Remove the 4th gear blocker ring and spring.
7. Remove the 4th gear bearing.
8. Remove the 4th gear bearing race.
9. Remove the 3rd/4th synchronizer sleeve.
10. Remove the 3rd/4th synchronizer hub.
11. Remove the 3rd gear blocker ring and spring.




12. Remove the 3rd drive gear and bearing.
