New Measuring Wheel Alignment Procedure For Labor Operation Numbers E2020 and E2000

All 2005 and Prior Saturn Vehicles

Purpose

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform retailer service managers and technicians that a new common service procedure has been developed for wheel alignment measurements.

The "Measuring Wheel Alignment" service procedure in SI has been revised as well as Labor Operations E2000 and E2020.

The changes are detailed as follows:

The "level and lock" steering wheel steps as well as re-measurement after adjustments, are covered in the adjustment add conditions and, therefore, have been removed from the check alignment allowance.
The road test function is now an add time of 0.2 hr.
The new time for just TOE, FRONT- ADJUST has been reduced by the new procedure and the removal of the road test.
For those vehicles repaired under warranty, the check alignment time is the allowance for alignment machine set-up, checking tire pressure, and wheel alignment measurement only.

All other ADD times for the alignment process have remained the same.
