Tools Required

SA9113T Output Shaft Bearing Puller

SA9133T Axle Seal Puller

SA9173G Slide Hammer

1. Remove the park pawl assembly.




2. Using the lift points provided, remove the pump retaining bolts and remove the pump, filter, pump gears, and wear plate.
3. Remove the magnet and the filter support spring. Clean the magnet and the filter support spring and discard the suction filter.





Important

Use wood blocks between the converter housing and press. This will prevent damage to the housing sealing surfaces.

Place the housing, bearing side down, on a press stand. Use the slide hammer to remove the bearing.

4. Inspect the output shaft bearing. If damaged remove the bearing using SA9113T and install the SA9173G to the bearing puller.




5. Remove the converter seal.
1. Remove the retaining ring.
2. Remove the seal using SA9133T .




6. Remove the seal using SA9133T .
1. Remove the retaining ring.
2. Remove the bearing using SA91113T and SA9173G .




7. Remove the axle seal using SA9133T .
Remove the seal by threading the puller through the steel seal body as close to the outside diameter as possible.
