Roof Side Outer Front Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the windshield pillar lower side applique by removing 1 retaining screw and sliding the applique up and rearward to allow the tab to disengage from the key hole.
2. Remove 5 retaining screws from the roof side outer front panel.
3. Slide the roof side outer front panel forward to release from the roof rear outer panel (sedan) or the roof side outer rear panel (wagon).

Installation Procedure

Important

If replacing the roof side outer panel, masking of the panel foam sealing tape is critical. Ensure that none of the tape is painted on. This will ensure that the water management system works correctly.

1. Position the roof side outer front panel between the fender and cowl. Position to the roof and slide into the rear side door frame rear panel.

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install 5 retaining screws to the roof side outer front panel. Tighten in the sequence shown.
Tighten

Tighten the roof side outer front panel fasteners to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

3. Install the windshield pillar lower side applique. Position the applique to the pillar. Slide the applique forward and down until the applique contacts the fender.
