Cruise Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer and disconnect the cruise control module harness connector.
  3. Disconnect the cruise control rod bracket from the accelerator pedal by squeezing tabs.
  4. Remove the nuts attaching the cruise control module to the steering column and remove the cruise control module.
Installation Procedure
  1. Install the cruise control module to the steering column bracket using the 3 nuts.
  2. Tighten

    Tighten the nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Connect the cruise control rod bracket to the accelerator cable.

    Caution

    Adjust the cruise control cable each time the cruise control module is removed or replaced. Throttle operation could be affected. Refer to the Cruise Control Module Rod Adjustment procedure in this section.

  5. Connect the cruise control module harness connector. Push in the connector until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
  6. Adjust the cruise cable adjuster. Refer to Cruise Control Module Rod Adjustment .
