Throttle Body Heater Hose Replacement - Inlet

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Engine Coolant Check and Replacement .
2. Remove the air cleaner housing cover and the intake hose.




3. Remove the clamp and hose from the engine outlet and blow the remainder of the coolant out of the heater core with a low pressure air hose to prevent coolant spillage.

Caution

Ensure that the vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned. To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support for the vehicle on the opposite end from which the components are being removed.

4. Raise the vehicle.




5. Remove the clamp and hose from the heater core inlet.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the hose and clamp on the heater core inlet. Position the clamp tangs at 4 o'clock.
2. Lower the vehicle.




3. Install the hose and clamp on the engine outlet. Position the clamp tangs at 8 o'clock.




4. Install the air cleaner housing cover and intake air ducts.
5. Fill the cooling system and leak test. Refer to Engine Coolant Check and Replacement .
