Hood Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the hood.
2. Mark the position of the latch using a soft marker.
3. Remove the bolts and remove the latch.
4. Disconnect the cable from the latch.

Installation Procedure

1. Connect the cable to the latch.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Align the latch to the locating marks and tighten the bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the hood latch to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

3. Close the hood. Check the latch operation and the fit. Adjust the latch as required. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
