Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door
Front Door - Sedan/Wagon Shown - Coupe Similar
Removal Procedure

Important
Do not damage the insulator panel when removing the regulator.
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to
Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door
. The outer panel is removed in the illustration to
show the location.
- Remove the speaker assembly from the door.
- Partially remove the water deflector to access the openings in the door
structure.
- Remove the front door window. Refer to
Window Replacement - Front Door
. If the power regulator has failed in the full
up position, lower the window and the regulator as an assembly to access the window
insulator (slide clip) retainer tabs.
- Remove the regulator bolts (4 forward and 1 rear).
- Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the regulator, if equipped.
- Collapse the arms of the regulator assembly.
- Use one hand through the speaker opening to rotate the regulator assembly
to a vertical position and slide the regulator assembly out of the door.
Installation Procedure

- Slide the regulator assembly into the door and position the regulator with the
attachment bolts.
Notice
Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the wiring to the regulator, if equipped.
- Raise the regulator into position and install the bolts.
TightenTighten the front window regulator bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the window to the regulator assembly. Slide the sash onto the
window insulators (slide clips). Refer to
Window Replacement - Front Door
.
- Install the speaker assembly.
- Install the water deflector.
- Install the door trim panel. Refer to
Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door
