Door Frame Applique Replacement - Front Coupe

Removal Procedure

1. Lower the front door window.
2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
3. Partially remove the outer sealing strip (belt seal) at the applique location.
4. Partially remove the window secondary weatherstrip at the applique location.
5. Partially remove the window upper weatherstrip at the applique location.
6. Cover the door belt opening at the applique location to prevent debris from falling into the glass guide.
7. Drill the rivets, attaching the applique.
8. Using a magnet, remove any rivet pieces that fell into the door during drilling.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the applique using the rivets.
2. Install the window upper weatherstrip. Refer to Window Guide Channel Replacement - Front Door .

Important

Make sure the secondary weatherstrip is over the upper weatherstrip.

3. Install the window secondary weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Upper Auxiliary .
4. Install the outer sealing strip (belt seal). Refer to "Outer Sealing Strip (Belt Seal)".
5. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
