Impact Bar Replacement - Rear Bumper Coupe

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper .
2. Remove the lower attaching bolts from the outside.
3. Remove the upper attaching nuts from inside the rear compartment.

Installation

Important

If reusing the bumper impact bar after a rear-end collision, inspect the bar for damage. If the bar is not torn or cracked and retains its shape, it can be reused.

1. Position the impact bar to rear end structure.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the attaching nuts and bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

3. Install the fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper .
