Information on Remanufactured Cylinder Head Assemblies Available for Service

1991-1998 Saturn vehicles

Purpose

The purpose of this bulletin is to provide information on remanufactured cylinder head assemblies available for service that allow for reduced repair cost and reduced labor time when replacing machined cylinder heads.

The remanufactured cylinder head assemblies consist of the following components:

Machined Cylinder Head
Exhaust Valves
Intake Valves
Exhaust Manifold
Spark Plugs
Valve Stem Oil Seals
Cylinder Head Oil Gallery Plugs
Valve Spring Caps
Cylinder Head Water Jacket Hole Plug (DOHC)
Valve Stem Keys
Water Outlet Washer (DOHC)

Note: Cylinder Head Assembly cores must be returned like all cores in the core return program (visible and complete yellow core tag attached to failed assembly, all bearing caps attached to DOHC cylinder heads, core in original bag and box, properly completed packing slip and Core Return Receipt form). Please refer to Core Return Instructions in Section 9 of the Parts Policies and Procedures Manual for further core return information.
