Sunroof Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement in Interior Trim.
2. Remove the screws and the lower sunroof switch/console assembly.
3. Disconnect the harness from the motor.
4. Remove the screws and remove the sunroof motor.

Installation Procedure

Notice

Do not pull the motor in with the attaching screws as this may result in damage to the drive cables.

Important

If the motor has been turned, or if the sunroof glass position has changed, the motor must be re-timed to the sunroof module. Refer to Sunroof Motor Synchronization .

1. Install the sunroof motor and connect it to the harness using the screws.
Tighten

Tighten the sunroof motor-to-sunroof module to 3-4 N·m (27-35 lb in).

2. Install the sunroof/console assembly with the screws.
3. Install the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement in Interior Trim.
