Striker Replacement - Rear Door Upper Coupe (2nd Design)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the striker cover. Refer to Door Striker Replacement - Rear Door .
2. Mark the outside position of the striker with a soft marker.




3. Remove the striker fasteners, the striker, and the spacers, if present.

Installation Procedure

1. Apply Loctite 242® Threadlocker, or equivalent, to the striker fasteners.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the spacers if present and the striker.
Tighten

Tighten the rear door upper striker-to-body bolts (Coupe) to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).

3. Verify the striker alignment.




4. Install the striker cover. Refer to Door Striker Replacement - Rear Door .
