Passenger Seat Track Release Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
2. Remove the seat cushion assembly and the seat back assembly. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Front .
3. Remove the clip attaching the E-Z entry cable to the seat track assembly and remove the cable.




4. Disengage the seat back cover J-strip at the bottom of the seat cover and the sliding seat back cover up to expose the recliner bolts.
5. Remove the recliner bolts and remove the recliner from the seat back.

Installation Procedure

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.





1. Assemble the recliner mechanism to the seat back with the recliner fasteners. Transfer the recliner cover to the new mechanism.
Tighten

Tighten the recliner seat back to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).





2. Pull the seat back cover down and engage the lower J-strips.




3. Install the cable to the seat track and install the clip.
4. Install the seat back assembly. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Front .
5. Install the seat cushion assembly. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Front .
6. Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
