Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Window

Removal Procedure

1. Remove front door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door .
2. Remove outside rear view mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement .
3. Remove speaker assembly from door. Use this opening for access to the front window guide. Outer door panel is removed in illustration to show location
4. Remove inner sealing strip (belt seal). Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner .
5. Remove front door window secondary weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Upper Auxiliary .
6. Remove front door window upper weatherstrip by starting in forward window guide at bottom and following along the header flange. Carefully remove weatherstrip from under the applique.

Installation Procedure

Important

Use soap solution of 1 part mild detergent and 5 parts water to aid in installation of the weatherstrip.

1. Install front door window upper weatherstrip, starting at header flange and carefully seating seal under applique and into run channel.
2. Install front door window secondary weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Upper Auxiliary .
3. Install inner sealing strip (belt seal). Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner .
4. Install speaker assembly.
5. Install outside rear view mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement .
6. Install front door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door .
