Striker Replacement - Rear Door Lower Coupe

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the striker cover by pulling up at the center to disengage the tabs on each end.




2. Remove the rocker cover. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel in Exterior Trim.
3. Mark the outside position of the striker on the rocker with a soft marker.




4. Remove the striker fasteners and remove the striker and spacers, if present.

Installation Procedure

1. Apply Loctite 242 Threadlocker®, or equivalent, to the striker fasteners.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the spacers if present and the striker.
Tighten

Tighten the rear door lower striker-to-body bolts (Coupe) to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).





3. Install the rocker cover. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel in Exterior Trim.
4. Verify the striker alignment.




5. Install the striker cover by snapping it into place.
