Removal Procedure

1. Remove the sunroof glass assembly. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the 2 screws.
4. Remove the map lamp and sunroof switch console.
5. Disconnect the wire connectors.




6. Disconnect the wiring along the right side of the sunroof module to the center pillar location.
7. Disconnect the sunroof actuator motor harness.




8. Disconnect the 4 sunroof drain hoses from the sunroof module.
9. Remove the fasteners from the sunroof module and remove the sunroof module.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the sunroof module, leaving the fasteners loose.
2. Connect the sunroof actuator motor wiring and connect the wiring along the right side of the sunroof module.
3. Connect the map lamp and sunroof switch wiring and install the console with the 2 screws.
4. Install the sunroof glass assembly. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
5. Align the sunroof module by cycling the glass open and closed. In the closed position, the glass will center the module.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. With the glass fully open, tighten the sunroof module fasteners.
Tighten

Tighten the sunroof module-to-roof panel fasteners to 12 N·m (8 lb ft).





7. Connect the 4 sunroof drain hoses to the sunroof module, ensuring that the hoses are not kinked.
8. Adjust the sunroof glass to 1 mm (0.04 in) below the roof surface at the front and 1 mm (0.04 in) above the roof surface at the rear by loosening the sunroof glass attaching screws and moving the sunroof glass.
Tighten

Tighten the sunroof glass-to-sunroof bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
