Latch Actuator Replacement - Front Door

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door outer panel. Refer to Outer Panel - Front Door .
2. Partially remove the door insulator.
3. Disconnect the lock rod from the actuator.
4. Drive the center pin rearward enough to allow the head of the rivet to be drilled. Drill out the rivets and remove the actuator.
5. Cut the remaining portion of the rivets short and push through the hole in the door assembly. Disconnect the inner trim panel and remove the rivets.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the actuator with the rivets. Connect the harness and connect the lock rod to the actuator.
2. Install the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
3. Install the outer panel. Refer to Outer Panel - Front Door .
