Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front hinge pillar garnish molding by pulling at the clip locations. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Hinge Pillar in Interior Trim.
2. Partially remove the hinge pillar insulator.




3. Remove the check link nuts, then remove the check link bolt at the door.
4. Take the check link out through the hinge pillar.

Installation Procedure

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the check link to the door with the bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the door check link-to-door nuts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

2. Install the check link to the hinge pillar with the nuts.
Tighten

Tighten the door check link-to-body bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

3. Install the hinge pillar insulator.
4. Install the hinge pillar garnish molding.
