Compartment Lock Cylinder Coding - IP

1. Remove the glove compartment door lock. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) .
2. Remove the tumblers from the lock cylinder by pulling with needle nose pliers.




3. Select the correct lock tumblers for the desired code by the number stamped on the tumbler.




4. Install the lock tumblers, by applying downward pressure until locked into position.
5. To check the coding of the cylinder, insert the key. If the coding is correct, all tumblers except the retainer tumbler will be flush with the lock cylinder.
