Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the MAP sensor attachment bolts.
3. Disconnect the MAP sensor harness connector.
4. Remove the MAP sensor and port seal.

Installation Procedure

1. Clean any debris from the intake manifold vacuum port hole.

Notice

A port seal must be installed halfway into the intake manifold before installing the MAP sensor to prevent seal damage.

2. Install the port seal in the intake manifold.
3. Connect the MAP sensor harness connector. Push in the connector until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the MAP sensor and the attachment bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the MAP sensor-to-engine bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
