Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid Without Remote Keyless Entry

Removal Procedure

Caution

Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the lock cylinder rod and the release cable from the latch.
3. Remove the screws, disconnect the cargo lamp harness, and remove the latch.

Installation Procedure

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Connect the cargo lamp harness to the latch and install the latch with screws.
Tighten

Tighten the rear compartment lid latch bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

2. Connect the release cable and lock the cylinder. Connect to the latch.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
