Impact Bar Replacement - Front Bumper

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper .




2. Remove the fascia support. Refer to Fascia Support Replacement .




3. Remove the fog lamps, if equipped. Refer to Fog Lamp Capsule Replacement - Front in Lighting Systems.
4. Remove the tow hook bracket to the impact bar stud nut. The remaining stud can be pushed into the bar for the bar removal.




5. Remove the impact bar to spaceframe attachment nuts.
6. Remove the impact bar.

Installation Procedure

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Position the impact bar to the spaceframe. Install the attaching nuts.
Tighten

Tighten to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

2. Install the nut to stud attaching the tow hook to the impact bar.
Tighten

Tighten to 30 N·m (22 lb ft.).





3. Install the fog lamps, if equipped. Refer to Fog Lamp Capsule Replacement - Front in Lighting Systems.




4. Install the fascia support. Refer to Fascia Support Replacement .




5. Install the front fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper .
