Output Shaft Disassemble

Important

Synchronizer hub and sleeves must be kept together as a matched set. Note spline alignment marks on hub and sleeve, indicated by arrows. If alignment marks are not visible, put new marks on the hub and sleeve before they are separated.

1. Use press to disassemble output shaft assembly. Place support under 1st driven gear.




2. Remove the output shaft ball bearing.
3. Remove the 3rd/4th driven gear.
4. Remove the 2nd driven gear.
5. Remove the 2nd driven gear bearing.
6. Remove the 2nd driven gear bearing race.
7. Remove the 2nd driven gear blocker ring, blocker ring spring, and 1st/2nd synchronizer sleeve.
8. Remove the 1st/2nd synchronizer hub.
9. Remove the 1st gear blocker ring and spring.
10. Remove the 1st driven gear.
11. Remove the 1st driven gear bearing.




12. Remove the 1st driven gear thrust washer.
