Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left Coupe Left Side

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear in Seats.
2. Release seat back latch and tilt seat forward.
3. Remove the rear fastener of the front lower hinge garnish molding to partially loosen the molding at the quarter lower trim panel location.
On 1st design vehicles only:
1. Remove the seat belt retractor cover by pulling.
2. Remove the coathook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .




4. Remove the quarter window garnish upper molding by pulling. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Quarter Window Upper . Refer to the following:
• Quarter window garnish upper molding (1)
• Interlock tab (2)




5. Remove the quarter lower rear trim panel retainers. Refer to the following:
• Quarter lower rear trim panel (1)
• Clips (2)
• Quarter lower rear trim panel retainers (3)




6. Remove the rear seat belt bezel. Refer to the following:
• Quarter lower rear trim panel (1)
• Seat belt bezel (2)
7. Route the seat belt through the slit in the quarter lower rear trim panel.
8. Remove the quarter lower trim panel by pulling.

Installation Procedure

1. Route the seat belt through the slit in the quarter lower rear trim panel.
2. Install the quarter lower rear trim in the panel.
3. Install the seat belt bezel.
4. Install the quarter lower rear trim panel push pins. Refer to the following:
• Quarter lower rear trim panel (1)
• Clips (2)
• Quarter lower rear trim panel retainers (3)

  Important

  Engage the interlock extension of the rear upper garnish molding to the quarter trim molding.





5. Install the quarter window garnish upper molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Quarter Window Upper .
For 1st design vehicles only:
• Quarter window garnish upper molding (1)
• Interlock tab (2)




6. For 1st design vehicles only, install coathook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
7. Raise the seatback.
8. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear in Seats.
