Seat Cushion Cover Replacement - Rear SL2, SW2

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat cushions. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear .
2. Cut the hog rings (1), attaching the outer perimeter of the seat cover to the seat cushion frame with sidecutters. Disengage the seat cover (2) at the seat belt buckle pass through and around the perimeter of the seat cover.
3. Raise the cover to expose the hog rings (1), attaching the cover to the foam pad.
4. Starting at one end of the cushion and working toward the other, cut the hog rings (1) with sidecutters and disengage the seat cover (2) listing wires from the hog rings.





Important

When disengaging the hook and loop attachments between the seat cover and the seat cushion foam pad, be careful not to tear the hook and loop backing from the foam pad.

5. Carefully, disengage the hook and loop attachments, attaching the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion foam pad and remove the cover from the seat cover.
6. With the seat back cover removed, remove all of the remaining hog ring pieces from the foam pad. Refer to the following:
• Seat Cover (1)
• Old Hog Ring (2)
• Seat Foam Pad Listing Wire (3)

Installation Procedure

1. Turn the replacement seat cover inside out and transfer all listing wires to the same locations in the new cover.
2. Center the seat cover over the cushion pad.
3. Align all listing wires in the seat cover with the grooves in the cushion pad.

Notice

Do not allow excess cover material to extend past rear edge of cushion pad or cover will wrinkle during installation.

4. Begin at the inner listing wires of the cover and install hog rings to secure the cushion cover to the paper cord wires. Check the fit of the cover after each tie down wire is secured.
5. Push the seat belt buckle pass through the flaps and through the cushion pad.
6. Hog ring pass through flaps to wire in the seat cushion.




7. Press down at the hook-and-loop fastener attachment locations (1) in the seat cushion cover to secure it to the seat cushion.




8. Turn the seat cushion upside down. Install the hog rings (1) around the listing wire pocket, at the front edge of the cover (2), to secure the cover to the wire frame. Start at the center and work towards the rear.
9. Install hog rings around the listing wire pocket at the rear edge of the cover to secure the cover to the wire frame. Start at the center and work towards the ends.
10. Check the fit of the seat cushion cover. Pull on the cover where necessary, to remove any wrinkles.
11. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear .
