Output Shaft Clearance Measurement

Important

The 5th driven gear has an identifier groove marked on its face. Install the gear with the groove facing up.

1. Assemble output shaft with 5th driven gear as shown. Use old nut.
Tighten

Tighten the output shaft clamp nut to 150 N·m (111 lb ft).





2. Measure the clearance between the 3rd/4th cluster gear and 2nd driven gear.
Clearance

Standard: 0.20-0.35 mm (0.008-0.014 in)

3. Measure the clearance between the 1st driven gear and the 1st driven gear thrust washer.
Clearance

Standard: 0.20-0.0495 mm (0.008-0.019 in)
