Energy Absorber Replacement - I/P

Removal Procedure

Important

Energy absorber must be replaced if it is damaged, cracked, broken or crushed.

1. Remove the top cover.
2. Scrape all the material from the cross car beam using a putty knife or gasket scraper.

Important

Make sure solvent does not contact plastic I/P parts.

3. Clean all adhesive from the cross car beam with solvent.

Installation Procedure

1. Peel off the backing from the energy absorber.
2. Install the energy absorber to the cross car beam in the original position.
3. Install the top cover.
