Well, here is an overwhelming list of problems that we have tried to deal with that have happened to our Saturn 1995 SL1.  All of this true, we couldn't make up any of this.

The following is a history of my sub-standard 1995 Saturn SL1

1.  On 2/22/95, I purchased my 1995 gold Saturn SL1 from the Hartford dealership.  My original salesman was very nice and did not pressure me into any decisions. Unfortunately, he was not there the day I went to pick out my car and the next salesman was not as nice.  He said I needed to be flexible when picking out a car- which in essence meant I might not get everything I wanted (I did not get cruise control).  I should have been insistent because I ended up with a car which has been a problem since the very beginning.

2.  While having my oil changed at 5553 miles, I was informed my transmission was leaking and that I should take it to the dealer to be checked.  I was concerned and took it to Saturn of Hartford on 4/27/95 to be fixed.  I was told only the pan needed to be tightened and that was done.

3.  While having my oil changed  on 6/8/95 at 9168 miles, I was informed again by the people changing my oil that my transmission was leaking, so I took it to Saturn of   Hartford to be fixed.  This time I was told the seal was leaking and that I needed to bring it back again for a full day so sealant could be ordered and then applied.  I brought it back early in the morning (all these times commuting an hour to Hartford) and was shuttled to a friend's house the next town over.  However, at approximately 12:00 pm I was called at my location and they told me the problem had been incorrectly diagnosed and a hose connection just needed to be tightened and that was done.

4.  When I had my oil changed on  7/26/95, I was told the transmission was leaking again  (or still).  On 8/4/95, at 12,871 miles, in addition to having the air guard reattached at Saturn of  Hartford,  I was told the transaxle filter was leaking, and it was replaced.
