5.  When I had my oil changed again on 10/6/95, I was told the transmission was leaking again.  I was married the next day and proceeded to go on my honeymoon.  After returning from my trip, the air bag light came on.  I had moved to Meriden , so I decided to try Saturn of Wallingford.  On 10/16/95, at 19,879 miles, I took the car to the dealer and I was told that the transmission hose was leaking and it needed to be replaced.  As for the air bag light, I was told it was not a faulty air bag, but a faulty sensor.  The sensing diagnostic module was replaced.

6.  Six months and 15,000 miles elapsed before I brought the car to Saturn of Wallingford to check several noises and the service engine soon light which had come on again. (Mileage of 34,915)  At this point I was told there were so many leaks in the transmission they could not let me drive the car for the weekend.  I was given a rental car while the following list of things were fixed:
  a) the O2 sensor wire was replaced because of the SES light
b)the powertrain control harness was repaired and replaced
 c) the brakes were resurfaced
 d) the speedometer was defective and was replaced
 e) the engine was flushed because of carbon build-up
 f) the transmission cover/gasket and valve body were replaced
 g) the fitting and transaxle oil cooler line were replaced
 h) the pulley assembly and serpentine belt  idler were replaced
 i) the cooling system was flushed
j)and drip rails were installed at my expense (despite being told by another owner of a 1995 SL1 that their drip rails were installed for free because it corrected a manufacturer's defect on the car).

7.  On 7/2/96,  I brought the car to Saturn of Wallingford at 42,815 miles, because there was a squeaking noise when I applied the brakes.  I told them the noise was different than the metallic brake sound I had heard before.  They test drove the car and said they found no problem, and dismissed the sound as "normal intermittent noise with semi-metallic pads."

8.  Sixteen days later (7/18/96) my car broke down in a parking lot.  I had it jump-started and drove immediately to Saturn of Wallingford.  I was told that the alternator  was bad and it was replaced.  However, the reason the car would no longer run was that the alternator had been bad long enough to totally drain the battery which was replaced at my expense.  In addition to this repair they also replaced the bad tensioner and serpentine belt to remedy a squealing noise with the air conditioner on.
